Outcome 8 Reflection
Takes a leadership role in developing partnerships and collaborative relationships with colleagues, parents and agencies in the larger community.
During REED 528, Teaching Content Area Reading to Diverse Learners, I created an interdisciplinary Unit along with three other classmates as a collaborative effort. Our Interdisciplinary Unit supports the outcome because it showed me the importance of collaborating ideas with colleagues to build innovative and fun activities. I learned the importance of being flexible and prepared for a lesson. It also gave me insight into the importance of creating a diverse learning environment. It also thought us that we should collaborate with other teachers from my department as well as teachers from other content areas to share resources and find new ways to keep students interested and learning
