Outcome 5 Reflection

Employs effective verbal, nonverbal and technological communication techniques to foster active inquiry, collaboration, and guided interaction in a positive learning environment.  

During PSED 522, Foundations of Online Learning, I created a blueprint of an online class I would teach.  The aim of the class is that my students will learn by doing.  Students will be fully engaged in learning by selecting projects that will enhance the knowledge and comprehension of the content.  The aim of blended learning is to differentiate the instruction to meet the needs of all learners so they may obtain the maximum knowledge and acquisition in the language and culture.

The class model will be used in 9th through 12th grade classrooms.  Many are native speakers, which means I will differentiate the instruction between novice learners and heritage learners.  There are a variety of learning styles as well as learning levels.  The students who have a low reading skill will receive guidance in the reading and writing.
