PLAN FOR THE FUTURE

As educators it is our responsibility to analyze our learners, the physical space in which they learn, the materials we use to instruct them and the influence they bring to the learning environment. Having a good understanding of the individual needs of our students will help us create an instructional plan and activities that will serve the needs of all of our students. Completing a variety of projects such as a PLN, video collaboration, web-quest, and LMS Lesson Plan has helped me meet understand the importance technology plays in the classroom. Having the creativity to go beyond textbooks will broaden me as an educator and most importantly it will facilitate my student's learning. I learned the importance of incorporating technology into lesson plans by creating the UBD video collaboration and WebQuests.

As an educator I will incorporate the many strategies I have learned in all the courses leading to my Post Secondary M.Ed. Using technology in the classroom will allow me to expose my students to many diverse and innovative activities. I will use many of the internet activities shared by my classmates and teachers.  These resources and projects I have created will expose my students to technological resources and engage their thinking. I will also collaborate with other teachers from my department as well as teachers from other content areas to share resources and find new ways to keep students interested and learning.

My future endeavors also include further professional development and training to become an AP teacher of Spanish.  Being an AP teacher will allow me the opportunity to teach Spanish Literature and Culture which are two topics I greatly enjoy.  Other endeavors include being an online adjust professor in a world language department for a community college as a part-time employment.  Currently, I am working with my district administrators to open a Spanish class for native speakers.  Creating the class will alleviate the disbalance of language acquisition levels that currently exist.
